Detailed documents to prepare

Identity and application

  • Passport: recognised, issued within the previous 10 years, valid for at least 3 months after planned Schengen departure, with at least 2 blank visa pages. Check national notices before booking.
  • Application and photos: the signed country form, compliant recent photographs, and the originals/copies specified by the application centre.

Trip and stay

  • Itinerary: round-trip reservation, any relevant inter-Schengen transport, a written purpose of travel and a coherent day-by-day schedule.
  • Accommodation: hotel booking, prepaid lodging or property evidence; for a private visit, the destination’s valid host accommodation or invitation document.
  • Medical insurance: cover valid throughout Schengen for the planned stay, with at least €30,000 for medical/emergency treatment, hospitalisation and repatriation.

Finances, ties and civil-status evidence

  • Funds: evidence of sufficient, accessible funds, their history and lawful source. The Lebanon harmonised list asks for stamped bank movements for the previous 6 months or an accepted alternative; include any withdrawal terms or restrictions that affect access.
  • Family register: an officially stamped, up-to-date extract.
  • Return ties: documents showing your lawful income and situation in Lebanon—employment, business, study, family responsibilities or other concrete links that genuinely apply to you.

Documents that depend on your situation

  • Employee: employment letter with hire date, role, salary and approved absence; last 3 payslips; CNSS registration.
  • Company owner: company statutes, commercial registration and 3 months of company statements or corporate tax statements.
  • Self-employed or freelancer: syndicate membership card or letter, tax statements and evidence of current business activity.
  • Student or retired applicant: enrollment/attendance and scholarship evidence, or pension proof and other resource evidence, as applicable.
  • Sponsored, unemployed or homemaker applicant: truthful status declaration, funding evidence and credible economic or social ties suited to the applicant and destination; use the destination’s sponsorship form where one is required.
  • Minor: school certificate plus the normal identity documents; for one-parent or unaccompanied travel, the applicable consent, custody, travel-arrangement and parental-funding evidence.

Purpose-specific evidence

  • Tourism: organised-tour or activity bookings, or a detailed itinerary with destinations and accommodation.
  • Family or friends: invitation identifying the applicant and host, host address, reason and length of stay, host ID/passport or residence permit, and relationship proof where applicable.
  • Business: official stamped/signed invitation with the inviting company’s contact and registration details, business purpose, dates and who pays; add sending-company employment or business-relationship evidence.

Greece-specific documents to add

  • Completed, signed Greek form; the Beirut checklist permits English, French or Arabic entries.
  • Two ID photographs, the signed passport, and copies of its data page, previous visas and relevant stamps.
  • For family or friends, the official invitation and relationship evidence for that purpose.
  • Confirm current English-translation instructions with the visa centre before preparing translations.

Before you submit

Use the latest official purpose-specific list before your appointment. Do not rely on a generic checklist for invitations, minors or business travel.
